We are a family-owned, family-run general contracting and design business with a passion for quality craftsmanship and honest work.

Over the years, we have evolved from sub-contracting for other companies to obtaining our own Minnesota general contractors license #BC809598.

We specialize in design and builds of all kinds — kitchens, bathrooms, siding, windows, paint, custom heirloom furnishings, and even art.

While most work is done in-house, we also manage our invaluable network of sub-contractors for trades outside our expertise.

Diego — Owner & Lead Builder

Diego is the owner and lead builder of Scout’s Construction. He started his construction career in 2017 working part-time after school at his dad’s design-and-build firm. He later worked in retail during high school where he learned the importance of customer service and reliability. After returning to work alongside his dad’s crew following some travelling abroad, Diego gained hands-on experience that inspired him to start his own company. He values hard work, quality craftsmanship, and genuine client relationships — principles passed down from his dad that remain at the core of Scout’s Construction today. In his free time, his passions include listening to music, spending time with friends, and serving at church.

Christian — Operations Manager, Master Carpenter and Lead Designer

Christian brings a strong design background and a craftsman’s eye and detailed execution to Scout’s Construction. With an educational background in architecture and art. Christian worked at an architecture firm in St. Paul for 4 years where he realized he much preferred hands-on labor than a desk job. He decided to establish his own design and build company. Where he was able to hone in his skills for his passion in finish carpentry, cabinet making and furniture design-and-build. He combines technical knowledge with creative vision. He specializes in fine woodwork — custom tables, cabinetry, and detailed finishes that elevate every space.

Scout 🐾

Meet Scout — our four-legged foreman and job-site supervisor. He is our 11 year old lab. He takes his inspection duties seriously, loves greeting new clients, and never misses a chance to test out freshly built decks. Whether he’s overseeing a project from the shop or tagging along on-site, Scout brings energy, loyalty, and a keen eye for quality. At Scout’s Construction, every project gets the paw-stamp of approval.
